The Shakespeare Globe Centre Australia was founded in 1990 by Diana Denley, who is currently the Artistic Director of the organisation.

Diana started the Centre in the interests of promoting Shakespeare's works in a real and material sense to people of all ages across Australia.

The Education Program offered by the Centre allows both teachers and students to not only learn more about Shakespeare's remarkable works, but to engage with them in a far more intimate sense.

The Centre’s theatre style draws not only on original practices as may have been played at Shakespeare’s Globe but  also derives from continuing artistic dialogue with  its international partners.
